Saturday 13th July - walk **** – Around Felixstowe – cloudy start then sunny.

With a moderate breeze from the wnw I was tempted to head over to Levington Marina at 10.30 to check it out despite the fact it was cloudy with a few spots of rain. I stopped to take some pics of the lovely wild flowers again before heading down to the Orwell, I could see straight away the wind was to light to be bothered with foiling so headed for home but did manage to see a deer in a wheat field and got a few OK pics. I then even managed to do my exercises in the back garden as the sun had made an appearance and the temperature had improved! Then just after three I made a flask and packed some snacks and we headed out, first up the town so Mag could buy some wool as she as the knitting bug before continuing down past Harvest House to the prom at The Fludyers and the sweatshirt had to come off, with the wind offshore it was really pleasant on the seafront! It was a nice afternoon for a stroll at the seaside as we ambled to Jacobs Ladder to our usual spot by the wooden groyne and had a nice time watching the yachts sail past and had some fun with some shells, sad I know:) It was time to go back along the prom, made friends with a beautiful Bengal cat then stopped to watch a rib doing circles towing a donuts before turning up the pram walk and home for a welcome cuppa with a hot cross bun!
